Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: February 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Codeit application and services.
By creating an account or using Codeit, you agree to these Terms.
2. Service Description
Codeit provides developer workflows including repository browsing, pull request context, and AI-assisted code operations.
Features may evolve over time and may depend on third-party platform availability.
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for account credentials, authorized integrations, and activities under your account.
You must provide accurate information and promptly report unauthorized access or suspected security incidents.
4. Codeit AI Credits and Pricing
Managed Route allows you to select supported OpenAI or Gemini models and consume Codeit credits for requests.
Managed credit pricing includes provider token cost plus a Codeit service fee (currently 25%) for reliability, infrastructure, support, security, and platform development.
Codeit records managed usage and billing metadata (provider, model, token counts, provider-cost estimate, charged amount, and request reference) to support wallet accounting and billing transparency.
BYOK Route allows you to connect your own OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini API key and use provider billing directly.
In iOS production environments, digital credits are intended to be purchased via Apple In-App Purchase where required.
Displayed balance and top-up amounts represent service credits inside Codeit; they are not bank deposits, stored-value accounts, or cash equivalents.
Except where required by applicable law, credits are non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash, and non-withdrawable.
5. Payments, Refunds, and Taxes
Purchases are processed by the relevant payment channel (for iOS, Apple IAP where applicable).
Refund handling follows the policies of the payment platform and applicable consumer law.
Where required for legal/accounting compliance, purchase records may be retained or archived after account deletion.
You are responsible for any taxes or duties required in your jurisdiction.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use Codeit to violate law, infringe intellectual property, distribute malware, abuse external APIs, or bypass service restrictions.
You may not attempt unauthorized access to systems, interfere with operations, or exploit security vulnerabilities.
7. Third-Party Services
Codeit relies on third-party platforms such as repository providers and model providers.
If you use BYOK mode, your use of third-party AI providers is also subject to those providers' terms, pricing, and policies.
We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or data handling by third-party services beyond our control.
8. Intellectual Property
Codeit, its software, and related content are owned by Codeit and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties to the extent permitted by law.
AI outputs can be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated and should be reviewed before use in production or safety-critical scenarios.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codeit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/data/business opportunities.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid by you to Codeit for the service during the relevant claim period, subject to applicable law.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, legal risk, fraud, abuse, or security concerns.
You may stop using the service at any time and request account closure.
12. Governing Law and Changes
These Terms are governed by applicable law as determined by Codeit operations and mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
